Why We Ask for Health Information
Before we travel to Poland, every Canadian Contingent member will complete an ePACT profile with health and emergency information. This information helps us prepare before travel, support participants on site, and respond quickly if someone needs help.

Why This Matters
We are not collecting health information to create barriers. We are collecting it so we can prepare properly, support participants appropriately, and respond quickly if something happens.
This is about preparation, not exclusion
We ask for health information so we can plan appropriate support. Important health information should not be withheld. Knowing about allergies, chronic conditions, medications, disabilities, dietary needs, or support requirements helps us prepare and makes emergency care easier if it is needed.

What we ask for, and why
In an emergency, small details can matter: a serious allergy, a medication dose, a chronic condition, a communication need, or a medical device that requires charging. Accurate information helps the right people make better decisions faster.
Medical History
The Jamboree requires all contingents to gather accurate information about participants’ health before travelling. This includes chronic conditions, serious allergies, and specific medical needs. Important health information must be shared to enable participation. Withholding information regarding medical conditions can create serious risks and make emergency treatment more difficult.
Medications
Helps us understand dosage, schedule, active ingredients, administration method, and storage needs.
The Polish Jamboree team has asked all members to provide the following information on all medications that will be taken at the Jamboree.
Allergies
Helps responders act quickly if there is a serious reaction or exposure risk.
Medical Diets
The Jamboree will provide ingredients that support vegetarian, vegan and non-gluten (coeliac) containing diets, but cannot guarantee specific foods or food supplements for specialist medical diets. Special diets that fall outside of these will need to be managed with support from the Canadian Health and Safety team. The Jamboree Medical System can respond to emergencies such as allergic reactions but is not set up to manage daily medical diets or needs.
Accessibility Needs
Participants and adults with disabilities are welcome at the jamboree, but appropriate preparation ahead of the event is essential. These preparations may involve any combination of themselves, their parents, their patrol leaders, and the Contingent Management Team as relevant in each case.
The Jamboree takes place in a camp environment with uneven terrain, long walking distances, and variable weather. The information we are asking for in the EPACT system helps to identify mobility needs and assistance support to ensure access to facilities and accommodation arrangements before arrival.
Vaccinations
Supports readiness for a large international gathering where infectious disease prevention matters.
Because the Jamboree is a large international gathering, good hygiene and up to date vaccinations are important to reduce the spread of infectious diseases. The Jamboree Organization strongly recommends that all participants and adult volunteers are vaccinated against at least hepatitis B and tetanus.
Medical Note
A medical note may be requested later to help confirm that participants are prepared for the expected Jamboree environment, including heat, sun, sudden weather changes, insects, uneven ground, long walking distances, and water activities.
