She has dedicated over 30 years to Scouts Canada as a passionate volunteer, building a wealth of experience through her involvement at all levels of the program. As a former Venturer and Rover, she has a deep understanding of the Scouting journey and has contributed extensively to both local and international events. Susie attended CJ93, and volunteered at CJ97, CJ01, CJ07, and CJ13. She also volunteered at many other large events within Scouts and also the figure skating community. She played a key role in organizing two World Scout Jamborees\u2014serving as a subcamp deputy in 2019 and as the Head of Delegation for Scouts Canada in 2023. Additionally, she managed administration for the Canadian Jamboree in 2017, ensuring a smooth and successful event for participants.<\/p>\n Currently, Susie continues to be a driving force in the scouting community. She is actively involved in international scouting as part of the World Rover Moot CMT and is leading Scouts Canada\u2019s contingent as HOC for the 2027 World Jamboree. Closer to home, she serves as a Group Commissioner in Ottawa, supporting youth and volunteers in delivering quality Scouting experiences. Within scouting as a youth, I was a Cub, Scout, Venturer and Rover with 5th Meadowvale in Mississauga. As an adult member I was Troop Scouter in North Bay while I attended university and then when I returned home in 2015 I was as a Troop Scouter and Company Advisor in Mississauga. I am now currently a Rover Advisor with 5th Meadowvale.<\/p>\n Around the time that I started Venturers and was elected to bethe company president, I found that I had a true love for the service and volunteering side of Scouting. My Venturer scouters were an excellent example of selfless adult leadership, and my fellow Venturers were fully committed to the movement. In all my years as a Venturer, I doubt there was a month when I didn\u2019t attend a weekend-long event; it was more usual to spend every weekend in a month scouting, often providing service for larger camps and events.<\/p>\n As a Scouter I have served at the Troop, Company and Crew levels, and helped out with younger sections here and there at group events. Alongside my section roles, I have been on staff and organizing committees for both large and small scouting events. One of the larger is the Scout Brigade of Fort George, where I have been on the service teams of both the fall and winter campaigns for over 15 years.<\/p>\n There is no doubt that my most eye-opening scouting experience was participating in one of the world\u2019s largest scouting events, a World Scout Jamboree. I signed on to help with the CMT for the Canadian Contingent to the 2019 World Scout Jamboree in 2017 and ended transitioning to the Team Lead for Logistics when the original team lead had to step down from the role. I reprised the same role for 2023 in South Korea working through a project that had its bumps and roadblocks but was able to provide a memorable experience to hundreds of Canadian youth and leaders. I excited at the opportunity to be appointed as a Deputy Head of Contingent for the World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027. I have enjoyed the breath of fresh air in networking with both members of scouting abroad and at home working on these WJ teams and look forward to this next adventure to Poland!<\/p>\n Professionally I work with my family business FASTSIGNS a local sign company in Mississauga in a variety of work functions including sales, production, installation, administration, account management and training. My work has always allowed me the flexibility to put aside the time I like to commit to scouting.<\/p>\n I strongly believe that scouting history and traditions need to be preserved where possible, but that scouting also needs to adapt to new social norms and realities in order to survive and endure. Canada<\/strong>\u00a0and the Trois-Rives District, she also served as a Unit Leader at the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea in 2023, embodying the values of growth, openness, and teamwork across Canada and the UK. His first Jamboree was CJ’97 in Thunder Bay, as part of the Venture Service Program. Once his own youth were old enough for Scouting, Jeff eagerly re-joined with them as a Scouter. many years of Troop and Company leadership with the 132nd Toronto while our sons were involved. They have been involved in scouting since high school, and growing up were part of the Troop, Company, and Crew of 5th Meadowvale West (Central Escarpment Council).<\/p>\n They have served as a trainer for several woodbadge and scoutcraft courses, and in addition to local scouting, have been involved in several large scouting events. They are a long-time attendee and staff member of the Scout Brigade of Fort George, where they have served as secretary, registrar, second in command, and camp chief.<\/p>\n They have also volunteered as program staff at two Canadian Jamborees, and provided admin support for the Canadian contingent logistics team for the 25th World Jamboree in South Korea.<\/p>\n Outside of scouting, Dizzy is a geographer, working as an instructor, spatial analyst and cartographer at Nipissing University. Following this, Kelly served four years in the US Army and resided in Virginia before returning to Canada. Upon his return, he took an active role in Scouting, becoming a Scout Leader in Burlington with 31st Burlington and later 1st Port Nelson, serving as a Scouter, Venturer, and Rover Leader. His participation includes attendance at the Great Lakes Jamboree, Canadian Cub Jamborees, Canadian Jamborees, and the World Jamboree in 2023. Kelly’s involvement in Scouting spans nearly 30 years, both as a youth and adult.<\/p>\n Academically, Kelly holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Leo University and a Master of Science from Old Dominion University. Professionally, he serves as the Chief Negotiator for the Halton Secondary Teachers Union, a Governor for the Ontario Teachers Federation, and Commander of the American Legion Branch in Burlington.<\/p>\n In his personal life, Kelly enjoys outdoor activities with his wife Lynn and their two children. He is frequently engaged in canoeing, hiking, or traveling with family and friends. With a father deeply involved in Scouts- and several uncles as well. I grew up immersed in this world. I completed my entire youth scouting journey, from Jeannette to Kamsook (yes, I\u2019m too old to have known the Sparkles <\/span>\ud83d\ude0a<\/span>).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n At 18, I began leading in the 9\u201311 age branch, and this adventure has now spanned now for 30 years, including around 20 as a leader. I\u2019ve also served on my district\u2019s board of directors and have been actively involved in my group\u2019s administrative committee for several years.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019ve been a trainer for the ASC for 8 years, delivering several courses among some of those are the ones on large gatherings, having organized a few camporees, and have participated in numerous jamborees. His dedication extended beyond his own group: he also became involved in the Trois-Rives District, helping to organize unifying and enriching activities for all the groups in the region. After completing his youth journey, he became a Scouter with the Groupe scout de Hull in Gatineau, Qu\u00e9bec. Throughout the years, David held various roles at the local, regional, national and international levels, but remained strongly engaged in his local group.<\/p>\n David first discovered international Scouting when he attended the 2015 World Scout Jamboree in Japan as a participant, an event that had a tremendous impact on his journey since then. He later had the chance to get involve in organizing other Canadian contingents to international events, notably as Transport and Pre-Camp Lead for the 2023 World Scout Jamboree in Korea and as Co-Head of Contingent for the 2025 World Scout Moot in Portugal, in order to give the chance to many other Canadian youth to experience these unique events and shape the future of our movement.
