Who can attend?

World Scout Jamborees are designed around the youth members of Scouting!
They’re carefully planned to ensure that every youth has one chance to attend when they’re 14-17 years old. Other Jamborees tend to have a wider age range of attendees, however they’re not as large – or with as many countries attend – as a World Scout Jamboree!
For the Jamboree you can only attend with your country’s contingent – you aren’t able to register yourself directly!
What's your date of birth?
Born before July 30, 2009
Considered an adult during the Jamboree, you can apply to attend as an International Service Team Member, or a Patrol Unit Leader!
Born between July 30, 2009 and July 30, 2013
This is your only chance to attend a World Scout Jamboree as a participant; next time you’ll be eligible to attend as an IST/PUL, for Denmark!
Born after July 30, 2013
Unfortunately you’ll be too young to attend the World Scout Jamboree in Poland for 2027, but depending our your age you might be eligible for Denmark in 2031!
What if?
What if you turn 14 during the Jamboree?
Or, you’ll be 17 at the start of it?
Sorry, there are NO EXEMPTIONs.
The age limits for World Scout Jamborees are set by the World Organization of the Scout Movement, not by the contingent. We have no leeway, and in fact the Jamboree will automatically reject anyone if they do not match the set dates, when proof of age is submitted.
Are there other requirements?
In addition to the age exemptions, there are other requirements in order for you to attend as a participant or an adult. This is not an exhaustive list.
Active Member of Scouts Canada or Scouts du Canada
You’ll need to be an active member in good standing of either NSO to attend, and will need to maintain your membership up to and throughout the Jamboree. Should your membership lapse for any reason, you will not be permitted to attend.
